Her work explores the intersection of infrastructure, equity, and the future of technology, reflecting on how the systems that sustain modern life - water, energy, transportation, and digital networks - shape societies.
She is the author of “How Infrastructure Works: Inside the Systems That Shape Our World”, which has been widely praised for making the invisible visible and inspiring a new appreciation for the critical role infrastructure plays in both enabling and limiting our collective future. She has written for The Atlantic, Wired, The New York Times, and other leading publications, covering topics ranging from engineering education to digital culture.
She holds a Ph.D. from the University of Toronto and is a professor at Olin College of Engineering.

David H. Petraeus

General David H. Petraeus (US Army, Ret.) is a member of the boards of directors of Optiv and OneStream, a Strategic Advisor for Sempra and Advanced Navigation, a personal venture investor, an academic, and the co-author (with Andrew Roberts) of “Conflict: The Evolution of Warfare from 1945 to Ukraine”.
He is the Kissinger Fellow at Yale University’s Jackson School, Co-Chairman of the Global Advisory Council of the Woodrow Wilson Center for International Scholars, Vice President of the Royal United Services Institute, and a member of the Council on Foreign Relations, the Aspen Strategy Group, and the Atlantic Council, among others.
General Petraeus graduated with distinction from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, and he also earned a Ph.D. in international relations and economics from Princeton University. He has taught at the U.S. Military Academy, the City University of New York, and the University of Southern California, as well as working as a research fellow at Harvard University’s Belfer Center.

Michael Smith

Mr. Smith is part of Ares's Operating Committee and serves as director and co-chairman of the Board of Directors of Ares Capital Corporation, where he was co-chairman from 2014 to 2022 and executive vice president from 2013 to 2014. Additionally, he is a trustee and co-chief executive officer of Ares Strategic Income Fund and vice president of CION Ares Diversified Credit Fund. He also serves on the Board of Directors of Ivy Hill Asset Management GP, LLC.
Before joining Ares in 2004, he was a partner at RBC Capital Partners, a division of the Royal Bank of Canada, where he led middle-market financing and equity investments for the firm. Prior to this, he worked at Indosuez Capital in the investment banking group, at Kenter, Glastris & Company, and at Salomon Brothers in debt markets and financial services.
He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Notre Dame and a Master of Business Administration from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.

Scott Kleinman
Co-President of Apollo Asset Management
Scott Kleinman co-leads Apollo’s day-to-day operations including all of Apollo’s revenue-generating businesses and enterprise solutions across its integrated alternative investment platform. He joined Apollo in 1996, and, in 2009, he was appointed Lead Partner for Private Equity, prior to being named Co-President in 2018. Mr. Kleinman also serves on Apollo’s Executive Committee.
Before joining Apollo, Mr. Kleinman was a member of the Investment Banking division at Smith Barney Inc. He currently serves on the board of directors of Apollo Global Management, Inc. and Athora Holding. In 2014, he founded the Kleinman Center for Energy Policy at the University of Pennsylvania. He is a member of the Board of Advisors at the University of Pennsylvania Stuart Weitzman School of Design and the Board of Directors at the White Plains Hospital.

Kyle Paster

Michael Rees

He is a member of the company’s board of directors and head of the GP Strategic Capital platform. Additionally, he serves on the board of directors of The Feinstein Institutes for Medical Research of Northwell Health and The Opportunity Network.
He founded Dyal Capital, the predecessor firm to Blue Owl’s GP Strategic Capital. He was a founding member and shareholder of Neuberger Berman Group. He held several positions at Lehman Brothers, and was also an associate at Marakon Associates.
Rees has two master’s degrees, one in Mechanical Engineering and the other in Technology Policy, from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He also has a BS in Mechanical Engineering and a BA in Political Science from the University of Pittsburgh.

Gregory W. Cashman

He is responsible for overseeing origination, deal execution, and capital markets activities. He serves as a member of the Firm’s Investment and Watchlist Committees and holds the position of Director or Advisory Director on the boards of several of the Firm’s portfolio companies.
Before joining Golub Capital, he held a variety of finance roles at Bristol-Myers Squibb Co., where he reported directly to the CFO and served as Manager of Business Development for the venture capital arm of the company’s Consumer Medicines division. Earlier in his career, he spent four years as a Senior Accountant at Arthur Andersen & Co., advising emerging growth companies.
He holds a BS in Commerce from the University of Virginia and an MBA from the Darden School of Business.

Jakob Tanzmeister
Managing Director in J.P. Morgan Asset Management.
He is a senior investment specialist in the Multi-Asset Solutions team of J.P. Morgan Asset Management, based in Frankfurt. He joined the firm as a graduate trainee in 2007 and has previously held roles in both the London and Frankfurt offices. He works with institutional clients across Europe and internationally to develop and deliver innovative investment solutions.
He has previously worked in the Client Portfolio Management team in Germany on equity and multi-asset strategies.

Luis Gonzalí

He is responsible for designing the strategy for public and private funds managed at the company’s local offices. He also serves on the Board of Directors of Franklin Templeton.
He was an Associate and Investment Manager at Heyman and Associates, where he was responsible for the analysis and strategy for local and global debt. For six years in a row (2019-2024), the short-term debt strategy he managed won the Best Short-Term Debt Fund on the Mexican Market award presented by Morningstar.
He has a Bachelor’s degree in Applied Mathematics from Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México (ITAM), in addition to studying Behavioral Finance at the University of Chicago. Adam Schickling

He has coauthored research on productivity, demographics, labor markets, and China’s economy. He joined Vanguard in 2012, after previously serving as a fixed income investment risk analyst in the Risk Management Group.

Craig Myatt
Ports at Macquarie Asset Management.
He joined Macquarie Asset Management as Operating Partner – Ports in May 2024, where he provides strategic and operational guidance for the firm’s ports portfolio.
Prior to this position, he was CEO of Ceres Terminals Holdings, overseeing the company’s operations across 20 ports in North America. Previously, he served as CEO of SeaLand, where he managed all Maersk Line operations on the trade routes between North and Latin America. Earlier in his career, Craig served as Senior Vice President of North American Inland Operations at Maersk Line.
He holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Vermont and a Master of Science degree from the University of Denver. He currently serves as a senior research fellow at the University of Maryland.

Ernesto González
Managing director at Macquarie Asset Management.
He joined Macquarie in 2016 and currently leads the real assets division in Mexico and Colombia for Macquarie Asset Management, where he oversees MAM’s infrastructure investments across a wide range of sectors, including renewable energy. He also serves on the Investment Committee of the Macquarie Mexico Infrastructure Fund and the China-Mexico Fund.
Before joining the firm, he was co-founder and Executive Vice President of Development at ContourGlobal, where he led the company’s global expansion in conventional and renewable power generation assets across three continents. He previously held positions at The AES Corporation and Credit Suisse.

Louis Paul

He joined Macquarie in 2008 and is currently based in New York. He is a Senior Managing Director responsible for the Transport and Social sectors across Macquarie Asset Management Real Assets Americas, executing a wide range of value-accretive projects. He has led the acquisitions of Long Beach Container Terminal, Maher Terminals, International Transportation Service (ITS), NYK Ports, Gulf & Atlantic Railway, and Medical Properties Partnership (MPP). He also led the sale of Elizabeth River Crossing, Autoroute 25, and the MIP I Ports Portfolio.
Prior to his current role, Louis spent seven years in Sydney, working for the principal and advisory teams of Macquarie Capital (MacCap) on a range of infrastructure, mining, and technology transactions and investments. He currently sits on the boards of Maher Terminals, NYK Ports, Goethals Bridge, Ceres Terminals, Long Beach Container Terminal, ITS, Gulf & Atlantic Railway, and MPP.
He holds a Master of Finance from the Institut Européen d’Administration des Affaires (INSEAD) and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Purdue University. He also became a chartered accountant during his time in Australia.

Rajesh Senapati
Managing Director at HarbourVest Boston.
Rajesh Senapati joined HarbourVest in 2005 as an associate on the secondary investment team. He has played a leading role in the firm’s public market transactions, including the 2011 acquisition of Absolute Private Equity, a Swiss SIX-listed investment company, and the 2012 acquisition of the investment portfolio of Conversus Capital, a Euronext-listed investment company.
Prior to joining HarbourVest, Raj worked for J.P. Morgan as an investment banking analyst in the diversified industrials group.

Simon Hanna

Simon Hanna joined FIBRA Macquarie in April 2022 as Chief Executive Officer. Prior to this appointment, he served as Chief Financial Officer for the same institution from July 2013 to April 2022.
He previously served as Chief Financial Officer of the Macquarie Russia & CIS Infrastructure Fund from March 2010 to July 2013. Before that, he was responsible for the financial operations of the Macquarie European Infrastructure Fund in London from 2004 to 2010. He also worked at Macquarie Group in its Sydney office starting in 1999, supporting the Corporate Asset Finance division, focused on leasing and lending activities.

Stephanie Aliaga
Global Market Strategist in J.P. Morgan Asset Management.
She provides valuable insight and perspective on the global economy and markets to institutional and retail clients across the U.S. Her research has focused on the U.S. economy and AI as an investment theme. She is a key contributor to the Guide to the Markets, On the Minds of Investors blog, and serves on the committee that produces the Long-Term Capital Market Assumptions underpinning J.P. Morgan’s strategic asset allocation process. She is also a frequent guest on CNBC, Bloomberg, Yahoo! Finance, and other financial news outlets and is often quoted in the financial press.
Prior to this role, she worked on the Global Investment Opportunities Group in J.P. Morgan’s Private Bank, where she provided ultra-high net worth clients with opportunistic investment ideas and cross-asset trading execution. She is a fellow of the Economic Club of New York and serves as co-chair of the AI Roundtable for the National Association of Business Economists.

Gerardo García

He is responsible for implementing monetary and exchange rate policy and managing the central bank’s international reserve assets. He also oversees the operations carried out by Banco de México on behalf of the Federal Government in financial markets, including conducting debt management operations, executing FX transactions, and implementing hedging programs.
Previously, he served as Director of International Operations.

Roberto González

He leads the Trading area, overseeing both Cash Management and Fixed Income, as well as Equity Trading for Mutual Funds and Discretionary Accounts.
He has been with the firm since 1998, including his tenure at Citibank and Citibanamex Asset Management, which was acquired by BlackRock in 2018. Throughout his time at the firm, he has held various roles in Fixed Income Trading, FX, Client Service, and Cash Management.
He currently chairs the Sustainable Finance Committee at AMIB.

Erik Norland
Managing Director and Chief Economist of CME Group.
He is responsible for generating economic analysis on global financial markets by identifying emerging trends, evaluating economic factors and forecasting their impact on CME Group and the company’s business strategy. He is also one of CME Group’s spokespeople on global economic, financial and geopolitical conditions.
Prior to joining CME Group, he gained more than 15 years of experience in the financial services industry, working for investment banks and hedge funds both in the United States and in France. He most recently served in sales and research at BEAM Bayesian Efficient Asset Management LLC, and previously as Director of Research at EQA Partners, both global macro hedge funds. He also worked for IXIS Corporate & Investment Bank in Paris (now called Natixis), covering central banks and supranationals for the fixed income sales business, and also worked as a market economist and strategist. He began his career at Bankers Trust, Global Investment Management in New York working with the tactical asset allocation group.

Prior to joining HPS in 2017, he served as Partner and Director of Research at Wingspan Investment Management, a distressed credit firm he helped build following its 2013 launch. Before Wingspan, he was a Managing Director at Glenview Capital (2009–2012), where he led the firm’s credit investing effort. Earlier, he was a Principal at the Boston-based Audax Group. He began his career in Mergers & Acquisitions investment banking at Goldman Sachs.

David Razú Aznar

Since 2021, he has served as CEO of Afore XXI Banorte. Under his leadership, the firm became the largest pension fund in Latin America and the leader in responsible investment for the country and the region.
Prior to this role, he held various positions in governmental and financial institutions at both national and international levels, focusing on social security, labor markets, and urban development financing. In the political arena, he served as a deputy in the Legislative Assembly of Mexico City, where he championed the equal marriage initiative in 2009, the first to be approved in Latin America.
He holds a degree in Economics from the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México, where he also completed a diploma in stock market finance, and he has a master’s in Development Management from the London School of Economics and another in Public Administration from Harvard University.

Gerardo Rodríguez García
Global Co-Head of Product Strategy for BlackRock's Systematic Active Equity
He is the Global Co-Head of Product Strategy for BlackRock's Systematic Active Equity (SAE) and the Chief Operations Officer of BlackRock Systematic (BSYS). He is a member of the PMG ExCo and the C20. His service with BlackRock dates to 2013. Prior to his current role, he had portfolio management and research responsibilities within SAE's Emerging Markets and China platform.
Before joining BlackRock he had a career of more than 14 years in the Mexican Ministry of Finance where he last served as Undersecretary of Finance and Public Credit. He has extensive experience in macroeconomic policy, financial market development and infrastructure financing. During his tenure at the Ministry of Finance he was also the Head of Public Debt Management, where his main responsibilities included the development of the local government bond market, the design of the Treasury Direct platform and the creation of the National Infrastructure Fund.
He earned a BS degree in economics from Universidad de las Americas Puebla (Mexico) and an MSc in Engineering-Economic Systems and Operations Research from Stanford University.

Josemaría Bolio

With over 20 years of experience in the financial sector, he was named Managing Director of Principal Afore in August 2020. He has held management positions in CIBanco, Banco Compartamos, as well as leadership roles in IXE Grupo Financiero, Grupo Elektra and Citigroup.
He is an industrial engineer from Universidad Panamericana and holds a master’s degree in Business Administration from IPADE. He also studied microfinance, leadership and disruptive innovation programs at the Harvard School of Business.

Juan Manuel Valle
Managing Director at Afore Coppel.
Before joining Grupo Coppel, he carried out consulting activities and structuring of project financing in different sectors, participating in strategy and governance of Deep Dive, a data science startup. He also ran, for two years, Afore XXI Banorte.
He has also been a part of the public sector, in the Social Development Office, as a managing director of Diconsa; in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs as an executive director of the Mexican Agency for International Development Cooperation; and in the Ministry of Finance and Public Credit as chief of the Banking, Securities and Savings Unit.
He studied Economics at Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México and a master’s degree in Public Policy in the Princeton School of Public and International Affairs.

Salvador Covarrubias
Head of FX, Short-Term Markets, and Securities Lending at Santander Bank
He joined Santander in 2000 and currently serves as Head of FX, Short-Term Markets, and Securities Lending. Since 2017, he has also acted as coordinator of the Treasury Committee at the Mexican Banking Association and is a standing member of several regulatory working groups with the authorities.
Over a distinguished career in financial markets—spanning periods of high volatility and major global events—he has contributed actively to the design and implementation of measures and projects aimed at strengthening the sound development of the market.
He holds a BSc in Actuarial Science from the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México (ITAM) and a Master’s in Finance from Anahuac University (North Campus), and has completed executive programs at IESE Business School and MIT.

Tannia Munroe
Director and Emerging Markets Product Manager at Tradeweb
She is Director and Emerging Markets (EM) Product Manager at Tradeweb Markets, a leading, global operator of electronic marketplaces for rates, credit, equities and money markets. In her current role, she leads the Global EM Latam Swaps and Global EM Repo teams, and assists in overseeing the strategy and development across all EM cash products.
Prior to joining Tradeweb, she served at Bloomberg as a Senior Relationship Manager for Fixed Income and FX electronic trading. Earlier, she held several senior leadership roles at the firm, including Sales Manager for Strategic Accounts, where she oversaw relationship management and strategic development for Bloomberg’s largest sell-side clients.
Munroe is on the Latam Women in Finance Advisory Board, and is an active member of the Women’s Bond Club, Tradeweb’s Global Women’s Network, and Tradeweb’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee.

Tarek Chouman

He is responsible for Aladdin’s client strategy and commercial execution, overseeing business development, marketing, implementations, relationship management and client service. Previously, Mr. Chouman was the Global Head of Business Development for the Aladdin Business, responsible for all sales and marketing related activities for the institutional Aladdin and eFront products and solutions.
Prior to joining BlackRock, he was CEO of eFront, leading the firm through its acquisition and integration with BlackRock. He spent 18 years with eFront, having joined the firm from its early inception. He served in a variety of sales, operational and regional leadership roles across Europe, North America, the Middle East, and APAC.

He is a Level III National Researcher and has previously worked as a researcher at the Harvard Institute for International Development and as a Tinker Visiting Professor at the Harris School of Public Policy, University of Chicago. He has also served as a Visiting Researcher at the International Monetary Fund and as a consultant for the World Bank, the Inter-American Development Bank, the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean, and the United Nations Development Program. From January 2019 to December 2022, he served as Deputy Governor of the Bank of Mexico.
His research has earned several distinctions, including the Social Sciences Research Award from the Mexican Academy of Sciences (2005), the Ramón Beteta Quintana Economics Award (2008), and the National Public Finance Award (2014). In 2012, he received the National Journalism Award in the category of in-depth articles. He has published extensively on a wide range of economic topics and is one of the most cited Mexican economists in academic literature.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics from the National Autonomous University of Mexico, a master’s degree in Economics from El Colegio de México and a PhD in Economics from Harvard University.

Luis Flores

Since 2011, he has been responsible for the macroeconomic outlook and investment strategy of funds and mandates, including pension plans and savings funds for corporations and institutions. At SAM, his responsibilities include liaising with Santander Bank’s commercial networks as well as engaging with clients on investment and economic matters.
Previously, he served as Deputy Director of Research at Ixe Grupo Financiero and as Economic Advisor to the diplomatic staff of the British Embassy in Mexico. He began his career as a foreign debt analyst in the Corporate Finance Directorate at Pemex.
He holds a degree in Economics from Tecnológico de Monterrey, where he graduated with honors, and earned a master’s degree in Financial Economics from the University of Essex as a British Council scholar. He has also taught Economics and Finance at Tecnológico de Monterrey and holds the CFA ESG certification.

Alexander Pack

He currently serves as Head of Americas Capital Formation at the UK Government’s Office for Investment, within the Department for Business and Trade, where he leads efforts to attract strategic investment from the Americas into the United Kingdom.
He began his career in public service at the House of Commons, where he held several roles including Senior Parliamentary Researcher. Following this, Alexander transitioned to the private sector, working as a Consultant at Hanover Communications and later as an Associate at Brunswick Group, where he specialized in strategic communications and public affairs. He returned to government service in increasingly senior roles, including External Affairs Manager at the Department for Transport, and later as Head of Office and Senior Private Secretary at the Cabinet Office. At 10 Downing Street, he served as Deputy Head of the Prime Minister’s Team.

Martha Angélica León

She has 19 years of professional experience focused on financial institutions in the public sector, and in the private sector, she has expertise in finance, insurance, financial risk management, and business intelligence. Additionally, she is an adjunct professor at EGADE Business School at Tecnológico de Monterrey. She has received various awards and has published extensively on financial topics.
She holds a Ph.D. in Financial Sciences from Tecnológico de Monterrey, a Fintech certification from the University of Chicago, and a specialization in Applied Statistics from the Institute of Applied Mathematics and Systems Research at the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM). She also has studies in actuarial science from UNAM.

Rafael Buerba Gómez

He has 26 years of experience in investments and financial markets. He joined SAM Asset Management in December 2012 as an Equity Portfolio Manager and, since November 2021, has served as Director of Investments, responsible for designing and implementing the investment strategy across all funds and portfolios managed at SAM.
Previously, he worked at Armada Capital, where he was responsible for emerging-markets long-short strategies and for ING-Sura’s Mexican equity portfolios. Earlier, he held roles at Credit Suisse and Banamex in Asset Management and Equity Research.

Andrés Moreno

Cynthia Sánchez Bobadilla
Director of Risk Management, Afore XXI Banorte
She is responsible for fostering a comprehensive riskmanagement culture within a regulatory and bestpractice framework, and for designing and implementing policies, procedures, methodologies, and actions to identify, measure, monitor, limit, control, and report financial and operational risks affecting the Specialized Investment Companies for Retirement Funds (SIEFORES), as well as the Afore’s own operational risk.
Previously, she served as Director of Risk Analysis and Management at Afore Banamex, where she worked for 18 years overseeing the management of investment funds across different risk profiles. Earlier, she spent five years in the Investments area at Grupo Nacional Provincial (GNP), one of Mexico’s largest insurance companies, and worked in the Treasury department at Banco del Sureste managing cash flow.
She holds a degree in Business Administration from the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México (ITAM), postgraduate studies in Banking and Credit and in Corporate Finance from ITAM, and completed the Senior Management Program at IPADE Business School.

Kindal Tihami

He is responsible for the Investment Risk Management & Research of the global investment portfolio. His career began in 2007 with Natixis in France as Equity Research professional (Sell Side), covering European retailers. He later joined Scotiabank in Mexico as of 2008, where he spent over nine years in underwriting and credit risk management in Real Estate & Hospitality Finance, and Global Banking and Markets.
He is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), and holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and a Master of Science in Finance from the Institut Mines-Télécom Business School in France.

Patricia Justo
Head of Capital Markets and Product for Iberia and Latin America at T. Rowe Price
She has more than 20 years of investment experience. Before joining T. Rowe Price in 2020, she spent 15 years at A&G Banca Privada, one of Spain’s largest independent private banks. There she held several roles within the bank’s asset management company, including fund and portfolio management, serving as a member of the Investment Committee, and, in recent years, as Director of the Fund Selection team.
She holds a degree in Economics and Business Administration from the European Business School and Centro Universitario Villanueva in Madrid. She also holds a master’s degree in Portfolio Management from the Instituto de Estudios Bursátiles in Madrid.
